I chose this piece because the negative space just looked like the shape of a shiver to me, and it just grew from there.

This is one of my favorite works of art, period, just so you know. ;]

As such, I painted something recently which received its inspiration from this (mostly with a similar layout in which there are two opposing faces). I know that theft is rampant, so I'm not entirely how how artists deal with matters of inspiration. Would it be OK to post the work here?

My piece is, of course, far inferior to your own, heh, but hey, still growin' as an artist.

Hey sorry it's taken me so long to reply. I've been wholly absent from DA.

I really appreciate you taking the time to comment and ask permission. I think it's fantastic to be the inspiration for artwork, as long as it's nothing copied outright (and I certainly don't own the concept of opposing profiles). So yes, I'd love to see what you've done and how your art has grown.
